REVIEWS.........

I have read the book ,and although I share many of the memories with Joe,I am sure that many people born and brought up in Dumbarton in the 50's and 60's will enjoy many of the little anecdotes. It is a collection of Joe's memories of being born and brought up in Dumabrton. It is about living in Clyde Street, castlehill and Brucehill and attending St Pat's High School. There are also little stories about being a teenager at that time which I am sure will bring back memories for people of a certain age.I have not been paid for this review,my only bonus is being on the cover and enjoying the fame that goes with it...Marie Therese Briglin, sister and proof reader.

Having had the privilege of proof reading the manuscript prior to publishing can I just say that if you grew up in Dumbarton during the 60s/70 then this is a must read. If you are interested in Dumbarton characters then this is a must read and if you just want a good chuckle then this is a must read. Many will find different sections and chapters that they can identify with. My favourite was the education, both primary and secondary sections. Very well written and extremely accurate, brought back memories both good and bad......Jim Gow...cousin ..and proof reader.
